  • When does the Ugly Furnace Contest begin and end?

    Patriot's Ugly Furnace Contest will begin Friday, December 6, 2024 and end Friday, December 20, 2024. 

  • What qualifies as an "Ugly Furnace"?

    Contestants must submit a current photo of their furnace, highlighting its most unappealing features—such as rust, dents, outdated designs, or bizarre modifications—ensuring that the essence of its "ugliness" is captured. Any further descriptions, such as age, backstory, etc...

  • Does the contest entry pertain to a specific territory?

    As Patriot would love to be a national service provider, we do have to keep our travel limited.  Therefore, this contest is only for those homeowners within Jackson County and surrounding areas. 

  • What are the judges assessing to determine the winners.

    Judges will assess entries based on creativity, originality, and charm.

  • Can I physically make my furnace ugly?

    Heck yeah!!!  Be as creative as you like.  However, participants should also be mindful of safety regulations; while the contest celebrates ugly, we advise homeowners to not intentionally damage their furnace.   • How do I submit my entry?

    We have several ways to enter our contest.  If you have a Facebook Account, login and go to our facebook page (link below), comment by adding the picture of your ugly furnace and any comments you wish. After commenting, please like our post and share.  For those that do not have a Facebook account, you can go to our website and enter by completing the entry form on our Ugly Furnace Contest page.

  • Can I submit more than one entry?

    Only one entry per household please. 

  • When and how will the winners be announced.

    A member of our staff will contact you via social media and/or through the contact information that you provide.  We will also announce/post the winners and pictures of the top 3 UGLIEST furnace pictures on our Facebook page on December 23.
